Happy 90th Birthday Grandma Madsen

Coby's grandma turned 90 and we had a big party for her. Lots of food, lots of cousins, lots of fun. Coby's mom wrote a song for all the grandkids to sing. The boys played their trumpets. That was entertaining. Coby has played his trumpet only a few times in the past 8 years. They came marching in the room, danced a little while playing, never a dull moment. Their cousins did some dances inside, then we went outside for their fire dances. They were so neat and did a great job.

Here is: David, me, Aaron, Jaron, Nate, and Rainy

Coby, Jaron, Brian, and Trent playing their trumpets

Bree playing with david. They were trying to get him to catch the bubbles in his mouth.

This is Bree in Grandma's wedding dress and their cousin in an outfit that Grandma got on one of her MANY missions.

Grandma Madsen lives right across the street from the Temple. If you look out her front window you can watch the Easter pageant. It was neat to see the temple in the background while their cousins were doing the fire dances.

Our Office Room

Ok, so we had this lovely 2nd room in our apartment that was meant to be an office/storage room. Well for the first 7-8 months of our marriage, this is how much of storage it was. Everything was pretty much scattered everywhere and nothing had a place. One day I called Coby on my way home from work and told him I wanted to go to IKEA. He usually doesn't like going to stores, but said yes without asking any questions. So we set out on a mission.

Coby put the book shelves together and I did the desks without any kind of help. We had lots of fun with it (the shelves were LOTS harder though... and I didn't give him any help on those either.)

A few days later we were organized, have some storage space, and we have desks. I love it! It is so much more funcional and there isn't junk all over the floor anymore. THANKS COBY for being such a great sport.

Here are some of our Halloween activities. We carved pumpkins and made monster cupcakes. And here is Coby's halloween costume. It was awesome. When we were going around the neighborhood with Chase and Peyton, Coby hid Chase under his really long cape, then a little boy asked if he could be hid too. Next thing you know he has a line of about 4-5 kids wanting to be hid under his cape.

Chase wanted a "Chase" pumpkin, and he wanted Jeff to have a "dad" pumpkin, and peyton asked me to make her a piggy pumpkin. Hmmm... I did the best I could with that one. It even had a curly tail coming out the back!

Ok, so I am very late on updating our blog. We have already reached the next holiday. So HAPPY THANKSGIVING here are some Halloween pictures!!! I finally got the internet on our computer that has all the pictures on it so there will be lots more to come. Here are a few pictures from Halloween. My sister had her 10 year high school reunion so they were all in town which was lots of fun. You can tell Peyton takes after my mom and LOVES Halloween. Here are some of her costumes she would wear around. She always had something on. Then there's my mom and Tiffany who went all out. We had lots of fun. Chase and Peyton loved trick or treating. Coby and I went with them around the neighborhood. There was a house that had a huge boat in the front driveway and Coby tried to get the kids to say "Trick or boat" (it didn't work).
