Happy Birthday Rainy

Rainy had her birthday on Feb. 22! We all got together and watched the Suns game and had cake while she opened gifts. Lots of baby gifts for her little girl due at the end of March. It was a fun night with the family! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAINY!

VALENTINES DAY

This year was our first Valentines Day as a married couple. It was a good one. I had Coby's present wrapped and ready on our night stand in our bedroom the night before Valentines day. Coby rolled over in bed and saw it and asked if he could open it. It was 12:30am so I told him sure. (He gets really excited with presents and doesn't like to wait to open them.) Coby was borrowing my sister's laptop for awhile for school because I had already ordered his gift and I was trying to keep him from going out and buying one. When he unwrapped and saw the box, I told him not to get too excited because it was the box from my sister's computer. So he looked at the code on the side and said, yup it is your sister's! (they are not the same at all). It was pretty funny. Then when he opened the box he said, "It really is a laptop!" It was great! I'm not sure how late he stayed up playing with it, but I went to bed. So Coby got his first laptop for school! He seemed to really enjoy it and I was REALLY excited about giving it to him.

In the morning I was at work and got a phone call that I had a delivery in the front and I got a beautiful bouquet of red roses. I was so excited and all the girls around me wanted Coby to talk to their boyfriends and tell them to get them flowers.

That night Coby and I went to one of my all time favorite restaurants for dinner, Cheesecake Factory. I love the food there, and the cheesecake is delicious. We had a great day!

Another Visit from the Jeppsen's

My sister's family was able to come visit around Valentines Day. Jeff had a couple law firm meetings in Phoenix so it worked out perfect because we love having them down here. It was kind of a bummer because I was working most of the time they were here and couldn't be over as much as I'd like, but it was still fun. The kids are a blast and Peyton is so funny. She has a thing with shoes. Here are some pictures of her in a variety of shoes. She's hilarious.

Congratulations Laura and Johnny!!!

My cousins Laura and Johnny Barratt both got their mission calls on the same day. They are siblings and they get to go to the MTC on the same day too!

Johnny was called to the Salta, Argentina Mission, speaking Spanish.

Laura got called to the Yerevan, Armenia Mission, speaking Armenian. What a surprise that was.

We are so excited for both of them. They leave at the end of May, and know they will do great. Congratulations you guys.

UTAH TRIP

I had a day off of work on January 21st so on the 18th we drove up to Utah. I am a skiier, i have never done anything different, but I got a snowboard for Christmas so we got to go test it out. Not as easy as I thought. It was definintely an adjustment from skiing. The first run was horrible. It took FOREVER to get down the mountain and I wanted to just sit down and slide down. The second round was MUCH better. Then I let Coby have a round for himself and I took a break. All in all, lots of fun and it was a gorgeous day.

Other than that, we just hung out with Heather, Jeff, Chase, and Peyton. Chase and Coby are best buds, and Chase just thinks he's the coolest.

Sunday night and Monday morning they had a huge snow storm. So when we woke up to get everything packed up, the snow was so high outside. The car and the trailer was covered! Heather and Jeff gave us their old couch and a chair, and we bought a new dresser up at a really cute store, so that is why we had a trailer. They helped us out so much. Anyway, we decided to take advantage of the new snow and we all got changed in our snow clothes and headed out. Jeff shoveled with a little help from Chase. We all made snow angles, had snowball fights, and played and played.

Finally we got everything all packed up and headed home with no weather problems. It was a great weekend vacation! We loved being up in the snow.

Grandma's 80th Birthday!

On January 15th was my Grandma Alexander's birthday. We went to a restauraunt in Scottsdale with my parents, Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Mark, and Uncle Tom and Aunt, and their older kids. It was fun to see everyone, and have a good dinner. The cake was gorgeous and very yummy. Grandma got a gorgeous new Temple Dress too. It was a fun night!

FLAG FOOTBALL

Coby's brother Trent is going to be on a show called Pros vs. Joes. We are really excited for it to air on the beginning of March. The end of January they came to Arizona to do a day in the life of Trent Madsen. One thing they did was get a bunch of his buddies together and they played flag football. Then the brothers went to Fiddlesticks after and did go-carts, played some golf, and had a lot of fun. Can't wait to see the show Trent!

COBY STARTS SCHOOL!!!

Coby started school this semester at ASU!!!! He kind of laughed at me when I told him we had to take a picture of him on his first day of school. I left for work before he woke up so I set up my camera on my tripod facing the wall, and I put a note on the door that said "don't forget to take your picture." I didn't think he'd do it, but when I went home and looked on my camer there were a few trial shots! Thanks hun!

More Christmas Pictures

Here are some other pictures just to summarize the rest of our fun holiday with family. Gingerbread house competition, train rides, and New Years FUN!!!
