Husband Bragging

Coby and I met while we were working for the Phoenix Suns.  He's still there and if any of you have gone to a game, I'm sure you've see his skills.  Here are some pretty cool pictures we got from the Phoenix Suns photographer, Barry.  There are some pretty funny ones, but here are some pretty awesome pictures of Coby.

If you look closely, you will notice the "DUNK FACE" in every picture.

Coby has worked with his brother Trent ever since he started with the Suns.
(Trent = the matchmaker)  So for that, here's a shout out to Trent!

Trent is quite the man of many traits.  A pirate, chef... yes he does it all!  And apparently I'm related to a leprechaun.  (Coby is too tall for all the costumes or yes, his would be up here too.)

Barrett Jackson Car Show

Coby LOVES classic mustangs, a 1967-1969 Mustang fastback to be exact.  I really wanted to take him to the Barrett Jackson car show and I wanted to get some cool pictures.  My dad goes every year and always talks about it.  The night I got back from Spokane was the last night to go, so Coby, my dad, and I headed out there.  We got there around 8:30 at night so it was hard to get some really good pictures but we had fun.  I'll let Coby tell you all about it:

So this car show was pretty much the coolest thing since sliced bread!!! I'm already looking forward to going the next time it comes to town. I was like a kid in the candy store, everything looked soooooo good but I knew I couldn't have it.......yet. I decided that I would use this as motivation so I could one day, not only have my dream car, but, have the nicest of my dream cars. It was really cool to walk around the cars and look at them up close, each one had every nut and bolt polished and restored to beyond perfection. The only problem with going to the car show is now I have a few cars that have jumped out at me that I really like besides the Mustang. Here they are in order from favorite all the way to most favorite!!! (most favorite is #1)

  1. 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback
2. 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
 3. 1973 Dodge Challenger
 4. 1970 Plymouth Barracuda
5. 1968 Pontiac GTO

Mom!  This was the car we were telling you about!
It can totally replace your mini.  Super cool wicker seats!

The next 3 are my dad's favorites.  This Land Cruiser was covered... but we needed that picture.  Then everyone around us was asking if it was ours when we took the cover off for a min.

Congratulations John Trevor and Rachel!

A little over a week ago, I went with my mom and sister to Spokane, Washington for my cousin's wedding.  It was quite the chaotic trip!  I'll just put the brief version:

It started off with our flight being canceled because of fog.  So I was on the phone with Southwest, my mom was on the flight with U.S airways, and so was everyone else on our plane, trying to get out of town that day.  After quite awhile, we finally got on to a flight to Seattle (after getting our luggage, re-checking it, and the Seattle flight was delayed because of a tardy crew).  We got into Seattle, and at the same time we are calling other family that was coming in from Idaho and Utah because we were all getting into Spokane around the same time and we had rented a big SUV so we could all carpool.  Idaho flight=canceled, they had to fly to Seattle but were 2 hours behind us.  Utah flight= their luggage went on a flight before them and went to Spokane, and they were detoured to Pasco(sp) and they had to rent a car and drive to Spokane.  So all 3 families were renting cars to get to Spokane.
So it took us awhile for someone to let us rent a car and only drive it one way, plus everyone was saying that we needed chains the drive was going to be SO terrible and there was no way we were going to make it in a car.  We finally got an SUV and we were on our way.  Chains???  There was NO snow or ice on the road.  We kept waiting for this horrible weather to get to us and it never came.  There was some pretty thick fog, but nothing too bad.
(Update:  Idaho family: driving from Seattle... we told them to not listen to the people and just get a car, Utah family: When they got to the Spokane airport it was so foggy that all the flights got canceled so EVERYONE WENT HOME!  So they locked their luggage up and they couldn't get it.)  We got to Spokane, went to see my relatives at the house.  Bride and Groom had just gotten there too.  After about an hour, we went to go to the car rental place, return the small SUV, and get the one we were supposed to have to drive everyone everywhere. (it's about 11:30 at night... we were originally supposed to arrive at noon.)  We switch cars, get to the hotel, we were supposed to have 2 rooms next to each other... they were on opposite sides from each other.  Got that fixed, got to our room around 1:30, Idaho family got there around 2, and all was good!!!  Ok, so that wasn't such a brief version.

I didn't take too many pictures of people (just scenery)  so the first 3 are from Mckenna.  I'll have to get some with Conner in them from other people.

Me, Brianna, and Bailey at the reception

Me, Mckenna, Brianna.... we were trying to find a Walgreens without asking anyone for directions!  It took quite awhile, but we had lots of fun looking!

The Bride and Groom

It was so great meeting Rachel.  She is from England and is the sweetest girl.  We love her John!  Congratulations you guys!

I loved all of the snow!  It's so pretty!

Us at the reception again

Back at the airport.  It was a SUPER quick trip, but it was good to see everyone!  Brianna leaves on her mission in April to Brazil so I was glad to spend some time with her!

(We were able to fly out of Spokane.  It was really foggy the whole trip until we were driving to the airport to leave.  It all of a sudden cleared right up and we could actually see sky!)
